The Great Jaggi is a monster featured in Monster Hunter 3. Its Japanese name is Dosujagii. It is larger than previous 'dromes and has a long, barbed tail. It also has large, frayed frills on the sides of its head. Unlike other 'dromes, the Great Jaggi gives three carves. It occasionally attacks a Qurupeco that has summoned it, rather than the hunter, which indicates its highly competitive and intelligent demeanor. It is also shown to be able to summon Jaggi at any time with a loud, resonating roar.
Being a larger, rarer, and more powerful version of the Jaggi and Jaggia, it is often considered by players to be the "boss" of these monsters. It's Alpha-Male status is much more prominent than that of previous "Dromes", as it features many of the characteristics of full-fledged boss monsters, such as its ability to become enraged, its ability to limp when weak, and its breakable parts. One should note that the Great Jaggi can be called to aid the Qurupeco at the Deserted Island or the Sandy Plains.

==Trivia==
*Like almost all other 'Boss' monsters, Great Jaggi will occasionally need to recover stamina. It does this by eating from a bone pile.
:*If not in its sleeping area, it will just stand there
*Great Jaggi has 2 different roars, but only one of these will summon Jaggis. It sounds similar to a howler monkey call.
*You can only break the "Frill" on Great Jaggi's head.
*Great Jaggi and Great Baggi both appear very hostile towards other boss monsters; So it sometimes ceases fighting a hunter and attacks another boss monster or attack it when it doesn't see the hunter.
